Our Head Guide
Biography
Steve is our Owner/Head Guide. He was born and raised in Tellico Plains. He learned to fly fish on the Tellico River and its many wild stream tributaries.
He is one of only two R.L. Winston Rod Co. Pro Staff members in Tennessee. He is also a member of the ClackaCraft Pro Staff.
He has written articles for fly fishing magazines and has even guided the host of a popular fishing show while they were filming on the Tellico and Hiwassee Rivers. He also enjoys teaching the art of fly fishing to newcomers in the sport. He personally teaches all our classes.
He loves the Tellico River fly fishing and spends numerous hours each year chasing the trout and smallmouth bass that also call it home.
